  1. [1] 68% of employees use AI tools at work. Based on the 2024 Microsoft Work Trend Index and McKinsey Global Survey on AI, which found that 65–72% of knowledge workers regularly use generative AI tools with workplace data.
  2. [2] GDPR fine calculation. GDPR Article 83(5) allows fines up to €20 million or 4% of annual global turnover, whichever is higher. Our estimate uses a simplified per-exposure cost model capped at the €20M statutory maximum.
  3. [3] Sector multipliers. Sectors regulated under the NIS2 Directive (finance, health, energy, transport, digital infrastructure, public administration) face heightened compliance obligations and enforcement attention. Multipliers reflect relative regulatory exposure based on ENISA guidance and enforcement precedent.
